Username and Email Changes

Your new username and email format is: first letter of your first name + first four letters of your last name + last four digits of your student number.

The domain portion is now @student.bcc.act.edu.au (previously @bcc.act.edu.au).

Example: John Smith (student number ending 1234) → jsmith1234@student.bcc.act.edu.au

Your password remains unchanged.

Connecting to WiFi

• BCC-BYOD network is retired — connect only to BCC.
• Sign in with your full new username (e.g., jsmith1234@student.bcc.act.edu.au) and existing password.
• If connection fails, it may be a forgotten password or your device might need .

Internet Filtering Certificate

Download and install the certificate. This will prevent your computer from having connection issues or displaying errors when using the school's network.

Windows Installation

1. Double-click the downloaded file.
2. Select "Install Certificate" → "Local Machine" → Next.
3. Choose "Place all certificates in the following store" → Browse → "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" → OK → Next → Finish → Yes.

Mac Installation

1. Double-click the file to open in Keychain Access.
2. Enter admin password if prompted.
3. Select "System" keychain, find the certificate, double-click.
4. Expand "Trust" → set "When using this certificate" to "Always Trust".
5. Close and authenticate to save.
